Talacre Beach receiving the National Accolade

Talacre Beach, in Talacre near Prestatyn, has been awarded the Best in Wales for exceptional quality and outstanding customer service, in the Fun and Laughter, Lively and Leisurely category at the annual Hoseasons gala awards dinner.

The award ceremony, which took place at Piperdam Golf and Leisure Resort, near Dundee, on November 10th 2010, showcased the achievements of Hoseasons 470 holiday lodges and holiday parks throughout the UK. The event also served to highlight the growing success of lodge and park holidays in 2010.

“The Hoseasons Group is the largest self catering holiday company in the UK, so winning one of theses awards means Talacre is one of the UK’s most popular and successful holiday locations,” said Geoff   Cowley, Managing Director of The Hoseasons Group. “Like many holiday companies the business has built on the strong success of 2009, where people rediscovered the joy of taking a holiday in the UK, and we look forward to helping them to continue to develop and grow in 2011.”

The gala dinner and award ceremony were part of an industry event hosted by The Hoseasons Group, designed to look at the issues and challenges facing UK holidays in 2011, including a motivational keynote speech from four-times Olympic gold medalist Sir Matthew Pinsent CBE.

The awards, which were broken down into region and type of holiday experience, were presented to the owners who had independently achieved the highest scores in the Hoseasons customer care surveys. In total there were 16 winners and 30 runners up from across the UK and Channel Islands.

CUSTOMER’S REVIEW

April 9th, 2010

A lovely park! On arrival it was the easiest check in ever, the caravan itself was very comfortable and clean, well fitted and had the little extras that larger companies forget about… washing up liquid, toilet rolls, tea, coffee, cookies etc. The little things really can make all the difference after a very long drive! This park doesn’t deserve 5 stars, it deserves a lot more – the facilities were excellent, the pool in particular was amazing as well as the activities, spectator facilities were really good too. The food on site was good, though the carvery a few miles down the road was lovely too. The cleanest park I’ve ever visited, and very secure. A shop, Post Office and chip shop (also does pizza, curry etc) are all excellent too, and I include their staff in my comments below. A small amusement area, cabaret bar, teenagers room (excellent idea), and a family room with a small “cinema” for the under 12′s, really nice and obviously well thought out. We went peak time so a full range of activities were available, day and night (some were free, a few required prebooking and a minimal fee), for ALL ages (and families) were available, my kids are 10, 11 and 13 and had an absolute ball. The evening entertainment was fantastic too, especially for the kids. A very well located park too for activities and days out off site, which meant an excellent balance was struck, again, we will definitely be back. The staff were absolutely outstanding – well done, its not often you visit a park where the staff behave like they actually enjoy their job, act like they want to be there and most of all, will do anything they can to ensure that you have a fantastic time. Krazy Krew were brilliant, kids had a fantastic time. They seemed to have amazing memories and everytime any child was near them, they spoke to them by name – well done again, what’s the secret!? The pool and leisure staff were amazing too, and took great effort to get to know everyone who used the facilities. Very helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. Incase you wondered… it was absolutely perfect. I’ve probably missed out loads, but all I can say is that we don’t have anything negative to say – oh except that we had to come home!! We don’t do “go backs” as we like to explore new areas, however, for this park we will be making an exception. We will definitely be back, hopefully later this year!!

Review of Talacre Beach Caravan Park in Wales

“Resort is small and compact. Enough to keep the kids entertained but not too overcrowded so that you were worried for their safety.”
