| What's Around our Holiday Park?
No wonder they call it the Welsh Riviera! The North Wales coast has its own microclimate (it really does – according to the Meteorological Office, it’s warmed by the Gulf Stream and sheltered by Ireland) and buying a holiday home at Talacre Beach allows you to take advantage of higher-than-average hours of sunshine through the year.
Although the caravan park provides a safe environment and plenty of action and attraction, the benevolent weather encourages you to look around North Wales, and there’s a lot to cover.
You might head straight for the beach, especially if you’re holidaying as a family. Talacre Beach is famous for its endless golden sands, punctuated by stalwart dunes that turn into fortress walls in your children’s imagination. Keep your eyes on the sea and you could catch a glimpse of the seals that swim by the coast.
Golf addicts will be able to choose from six fine golf courses, all of which can be reached within 25 minutes by car. Fishing fans will find excellent sea and river fishing. When you feel the need to mingle, bustling Rhyl and quaint Prestatyn are two well-known resorts that offer the traditional seaside ambience with (in Rhyl) a Sea Life Centre, a Fun Fair and Sky Tower, and (at Prestatyn) shopping, restaurants and bars, and a sea front from another era with fishing boats in the harbour and the weirdly evocative music made by an orchestra of shrieking gulls. And visitors cherish the sacrament of fish-and-chips and strong tea – although there is a varied choice for those who prefer a waistline to a nostalgic experience.
Snowdonia National Park is worth a visit. You can walk, climb or scramble up the highest mountain in Wales, or feel the thrill of white water rafting or abseiling, all the more satisfying because we’ve negotiated discounts for you.
